FAIRBANKS — The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce has selected “For Gold Time’s Sake” as the theme for the 2011 Golden Days celebration.
The Chamber ran a Golden Days theme contest in February, receiving more than 100 suggestions. Ginny Monsma, a teacher’s aide at Hunter Elementary School, won a $100 Bruegger’s party at her workplace by submitting the winning entry.
Golden Days is scheduled for July 20-24. It includes a parade, rubber duckie race, street fair, kids day and more. To become involved in Golden Days, call Heather Zimmerman at 374-6702 or e-mail Golden Days@FairbanksChamber.org.
